Mitch Greenwood- Head Coach
Coach Greenwood is entering his fourth year in the Watford City wrestling program and his 12th season as a wrestling coach overall. Prior to coaching in W.C. he served as a head coach in Kenmare and MayPort CG. He also was an assistant coach at MPCG for three seasons. In his career, Greenwood has coached a total of 61 State Qualifiers, 17 State Place-winners and led the 2013-2014 Wolves to the State Dual Tournament.
Aside from his coaching duties at WCHS, Greenwood also teaches Physical Education, Health, and Social Studies.
Greenwood grew up in Cavalier, ND where he was a two-time State Place-winner at heavyweight, winning over 100 career matches. He was also an All-State Football player as part of an undefeated state championship football team and qualified for two State Track meets throwing Discus and Shot put. He went on to wrestle for NCAA Division 2 MSU-Moorhead where the Dragons won the NSIC Conference Championship. He then transferred to Mayville State and played offensive tackle for the Comets while finishing his degree in Social Sciences.
Marshall Krebs- Assistant Coach
Coach Krebs is entering his second year teaching social studies and coaching both wrestling and football at Watford City High School. Prior to coaching in Watford City, he coached football and track for Grant County/Flasher Schools for one year and was a teacher in Grant County.
Coach Krebs attended Beulah High School where he competed in both wrestling and football. Krebs was a 2X State Place-winner in wrestling including a State Runner-up finish his senior year. Upon graduation, he went to Valley City State University where he earned his degree in Social Science Education and competed in football for five years.

Keith Larson- Assistant Coach & Head Jr. High Coach
Coach Larson is entering his fourth year at Watford City and his 10th year as an assistant overall. Before coaching in WC he was an assistant in Post Falls, ID were he coached four season under Dennis Amende. While at Post Falls he coached 5 state champions and multiple state place winners as well as a H.S. All American. Coach Larson started the Post Falls wrestling camp as a fundraiser for the varsity wrestlers that qualified for the National Tournament in Virginia Beach. While at Post Falls Coach Larson was also the Head Coach at River City Middle School and won two district middle school championships, as well as working with the Post Falls youth wrestling in the fall and spring time.
After leaving Post Falls he then moved to East Valley H.S. in Spokane WA for two years under Craig Hanson. Coach Larson coached many state qualifiers, 5 state place winners and East Valley's first girls state place winner. He was also the Head Coach for East Valley middle school and won a district championship. Coach Larson also was involved in the Viper wrestling club and was a coach for SJW ( Spokane junior wrestling).
Coach Larson grew up in Watford City and wrestled under Frank Fish and Dave Dougherty. He attended WCHS and wrestled here until after the 1990 season, when he moved to Spokane WA with his parents. While in WA he attended and graduated from East Valley High School. Coach Larson placed 8th at state his senior year. He was very excited to have the opportunity to move back and become a Wolves coach. Coach Larson lives in Watford City with his family.
